Far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Speaking God’s Word in Truth and Love

*|FNAME|*,

Last Sunday, Rev. Odidi brought us God’s Word from the book of Jeremiah. He exhorted us to be bold and speak God’s word and we should not be inhibited by fears and obstacles. Jeremiah was a youth who God used as a mighty prophet to proclaim His Word. God knew Jeremiah before he was born and destined him for great things.

Rev. Odidi specifically challenged us to:

  1. God places his hands on our lips and His word in our mouth and heart. This happens for every single child of God. His word is not just on our lips but also in our hearts. The very spirit of God’s Word is in our hearts.
  2. We are tasked to speak God’s Word in this generation. Like Jeremiah, we are tasked to proclaim God’s Word and spread the Gospel of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We need to speak God’s Word in love and truth, even when it hurts. Jeremiah did not speak what was popular but what was the truth from God.
  3. We are to pull down strongholds. Everything is under the feet of Jesus. We have been commissioned to submit to Christ as our Savior and King and to pull down strongholds and obstacles to God’s Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are to speak God’s word – where ever we are. We have been tasked to speak his truth and his truth we shall speak.

This Sunday, February 6th (tomorrow), we have the official welcome of Benjamin & Kiera Rasmussen (with little Liam) as they moved to Milwaukee to support our church in evangelism, outreach, and small groups. After service tomorrow we will have a luncheon and fellowship time together as we welcome Benjamin and Kiera (and Liam). Mandi will be making her amazing beef stew to warm our bellies in this frigid February as we hear from Benji and Kiera on their vision and ministry! Please make every effort to join us.

Check out our sermons on our website and Apple podcasts below.
